16 Days of ARTivism against GBV

We're a day late and playing catch up but we want all Friends of SGCM that we at Save the Girl Child Movement support Tamba Africa Circus and Incubator Zimbabwe in their kick off activation of 16 days of 'Artivism' as they #Day1 #StopSexualHarassment

I'm sure we still remember with sad lamentation the tragic passing of Uyuinene 'Nene' Mrwetyana, a bright young student at the University of Cape Town whose life was brutally at the tender age of 19 this September. SGCM would like to introduce to you some key actors in the #16DaysofArtivism movement: Tanyaradzwa, Rudo, Haleema, Rufaro, Rudairo and Anorudo (below). Watch them too at their silent protest yesterday - 16 girls in groups of 4 (symbolising safety in numbers) - at Copa Cabana in the Harare (Zimbabwe) central business district today. Everyday women standing up and saying no to gender-based violence. We thank you, ladies, for being voices for those who are unable to speak and even those who are able but not ready. #SavetheGirlChildMovement #SGCM
